The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) and Decathlon Canada are working together to support coach education and empower coaches with new knowledge and skills.
Coaches who sign up on Decathlon Community will receive a promo code to take NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport for free. This popular eLearning module, usually offered at a cost of $15, gives all coaches an opportunity to review foundational coaching skills, including long-term development, ethics, coaching motivation, and athlete safety and wellness. It’s the perfect way for new and seasoned coaches to continue their coach education from home.

Newcomers to Canada require an individualized approach to enhance their own level of physical literacy through quality, stage-appropriate experiences. This course explores the barriers newcomers face to participation and solutions to address those barriers.
When you have completed the entire course and passed each learning assessment, you will be able to download/print a Certificate of Completion and for coaches maintaining their certification, obtain NCCP professional development points towards it. The course will take about an hour to complete.

The NHL and NHLPA remain committed to supporting the hockey community, students, parents, and teachers during these ever-changing times. With many school districts and parents utilizing remote learning plans, we are offering teachers and parents free, remote access to our Future Goals program. Future Goals includes two online resources: Hockey Scholar – an interactive hockey-themed STEM curriculum for middle-school and elementary-school-aged students and Healthier Me – a program that provides elementary-school-aged students the tools they need to make healthy decisions.
