“Sports training is my passion—that’s what moves me.”
With a PhD in Kinesiology, Dr. Minozzo is not only an accomplished scholar but also an experienced coach and former triathlete. He is tirelessly trying to bridge the gap between theory and practice in his field. This pursuit shapes his approach in the classroom. Dr. Minozzo is interested in exploring the determinants of endurance sports performance to answer the question: what makes an athlete great? For an entrepreneurial venture, he is also currently developing an online training system that can track athletic performance and show how variables like speed, power output, heart rate, oxygenation—and even an athlete’s mood—will affect performance.
