Economic Impact of Sports Events in the Grande Prairie Region

Below is an example of GDP from a list of regional small-large events. GDP represents the net economic activity generated by an event. GDP takes into account how much producers’ and visitors’ expenditure stays within the local economy, as well as the indirect impact of that money (e.g. spending of employee wages). GDP is the metric that should be used when comparing the impact of events or evaluating return on investment.
